Within bilateral collaboration, in association with the French Embassy in Russia, the French Institute at the French Embassy in Russia, the Trianon Dialogue Forum and Simple Wine.
The four participants in the program are not just informative scientific pop films: each one is an example of documentary of the highest standard.
Wine Calling (Le vin se lève) has traveled all over the world, from Seattle to Cork, Tomorrow (Demain) won the French national César award for best non-fiction film, Le temps des forêts won the Critics Week at the Locarno Festival, Braguino took a whole bunch of awards - in San Sebastian, at IndieLisboa, at Dokufest and at Docker in Moscow.
These are very different films - a joyful ode to revolutionary winemakers and an optimal collective portrait of fighters against global climate change, a chronicle of barbaric logging and a picturesque drama about a dynasty of hunters confronting high-ranking poachers.
But every film is about the fragile world in which we live. The word "ecology" is translated from Greek as the doctrine of home - and each film tells about our common home.
All films are shown in the original language with Russian subtitles.
