CoolConnections , in association with BBC Worldwide, is to host a number of premier screenings of the special 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who in 3D at cinemas in Russia on Saturday November 23rd, 2013 – These will be screened simultaneously with the live broadcast on BBC One in the UK.
In this special event to celebrate the iconic British drama series, thousands of fans are expected to attend screenings of the Doctor’s 50th Anniversary at cinemas in the UK and many countries around the world, where they can enjoy the episode and specially shot introductions for theatrical audiences.
Since 1963 Doctor Who has been one of the best loved dramas and certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful sci-fi series ever. The show has received numerous awards across its 50 years and has also enjoyed success off air with over 10 million DVDs and 8 million action figures sold.
