The film tells about the legendary attempt to hoist the steam musical instrument, calliope, to the water tower near the Kolomna Kremlin and about the incident that ensued.
The real facts in this story are mixed up with the author's fiction, full of absurd details. Nevertheless, we learn a lot of true information about Kolomna, american composer Charles Ives and the pioneer of sound recording Thomas Edison. 

The authors use graphic elements of the turn of the 19-20 centuries: advertisements, drawings of musical devices, splints and archival photos. Despite the ironic tone, the film shows the admiration of the pioneers of avant-garde sound, as well as admiring the texture of folk costume, ancient architecture and ancient technology.

In the middle of the desert, the Fishlove (Rybo-Love) attraction fulfills the wishes of those who catch a fish. There are a lot of people who want it, but it's very difficult to get. There are also a few of delinquents trying to get the fish by guile.
