Poetika Anima is a non-narrative animated film based on a lyrical poem created by the synthesis of director’s diary notes. Countless symbols and visual metaphors, along with the original atmospheric music by Frederic Robinson, create a story rich with interpretations about a woman who transforms her disheartenment within a fluid time and space.

What if you made an improvised animated film one week at a time for one year starting only with the concept of a character pushing a big cube in the desert. Where would this story go?  M52 is a 10 minutes animated short film made during the whole year 2017 as a creative challenge. The result is a surprising unexpected science fiction adventure into a distant future of mankind.

A story of a lonely young child growing up in an isolated family from where she digs into her inner fantasy world. The adults who surround her doesn’t do anything to solve the unbearable life they are living, everybody is resigned. The mother hides behind her cigarette smoke, the grandmother is covered with her plants and the little girl tries to alleviate her depressing circumstances with her fantasy world. But as she dives deeper and deeper into herself, she realizes that everything that surrounds her is a part of her life, that she can not escape or hide from.

While having an exciting summer swim and diving one after another in the water at the foot of a cliff, the main character is unexpectedly separated from the rest of his group of friends by an unsurpassable edge of the cliff and amplified experience. An animation inspired by phenomenon of acrophobia, fear of heights.

Tonight, Anna and her dad have decided to walk home through the forest. Anna takes a torch and dad lights it up for her. The silent forest is as enchanting, as it is scary and the bright flame as protective as it is blinding.
