20th German Film Festival

The anniversary edition of the German Film Festival in Moscow opens with two films based on German literary bestsellers.

The cinema "Khudozhestvenny" screens film version of the novel by Erich Kästner "Fabian oder Der Gang vor die Hunde". The Director Dominik Graf has talentedly transferred the spirit of the Weimar Republic from book to the screen.

The same evening, at the Oktyabr cinema center, viewers will enjoy the film by Sabrina Sarabi "Niemand ist bei den Kälbern", nominated for the Golden Leopard in Locarno (Concorso Cineasti del presente).

The festival also presents the full-length directorial debut of the actress Natya Brunkhorst - "Alles in bester Ordnung".

The documentary "Wer wir waren"  by Mark Bauder tries to answer a question from the future generations: Who We Were?

The series "Katakomben" proves that German serial production has long been competitive in the world market.

The creativity of aspiring filmmakers is demonstrated by the NEXT GENERATION SHORT TIGER collection.
