The Russian premiere of retro drama If Beal Street Could Talk (2018) complements the retrospective screening of the documentary biopic I’m not Negro (2016). Beale Street is a film adaptation of the novel by James Baldwin, and I Am Not a Negro to You is a documentary portrait of the writer.
