Born in 1965 in Neustadt an der Orla, she graduated from the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Two dozen films and series are based on her scripts.
At the 18th German Films Festival in Moscow Laila presents the film Gundermann, directed by Andreas Dresen, with whom Stiller regularly works since his diploma film Stilles Land (1992). Stiller won the German Film Award for the best screenplay.
